Program Description:
Each year up to five $30,000 fellowships are awarded to new screenwriters. Each entry screenplay – an original feature film screenplay of 90 – 120 pages – must be an original work in English and may be by no more than two authors. Stage plays, translations, and adaptations are ineligible. Fellowship award is deferred until student is no longer in school.
Eligibility:
Undergraduate, M.F.A. student, or alumnus who writes in English and has not earned more than $5,000 writing fictional work for film or television.
Citizenship:
There are no citizenship requirements for this award.
Program Deadline:
Usually May 1.

Information on this program is offered for the benefit of our students. The Fellowships Office does not at this time, however, work with applicants to this program.
