Program Description: 

Scholarships of $10,000 to U.S. students (or international students studying in the U.S.) will be awarded based on the strength of candidates' academic background and a demonstrated passion for computer science and technology. Must be pursuing a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree, or a degree in a closely related technical field—such as software engineering; or electrical engineering with a heavy computer science course load. Must be maintaining a strong academic performance, have a visible or invisible disability, and exemplify leadership. Selected students will be invited to attend annual Google Scholars' Retreat at the Googleplex in Mountain View. Candidates will also be considered for software engineering internship opportunities with Google. Current undergraduate, graduate or PhD students of any nationality enrolled at a university in the U.S. or Canada. Also eligible are continuing students applying to graduate or advanced degree at a university in the U.S. or Canada in the next academic year.
