Program Description: 

The EPA GRO offers undergraduate fellowships for bachelor's level students in environmentally-related fields of study. The program provides support for the junior and senior years of undergraduate study and for an internship at an EPA facility during the summer between the junior and senior year.

Program Benefits: 

The fellowship provides up to $19,700 per year of academic support and up to $9,500 of internship support for the three-month summer period, for a total of up to $48,900 for the two year period.

Applicant Profile: 

Students at schools with substantial minority enrollment are particularly encouraged to apply.

Eligibility: 

Sophomores in an environmentally-related field with at least two years remaining in the bachelor's degree.

Citizenship: 

U.S. citizens or permanent residents only.

Program Deadline: 

Usually in December.

Students or alumni, as applicable, may apply directly to this program. Applicants are encouraged, however, to work with SF State's fellowship advisor well in advance of the program deadline to perfect their application essays and other materials.
