Program Description:
Created in response to the U.C. Regent's resolution to end affirmative action and race-based admissions at University of California Schools, this scholarship program was established to reaffirm a commitment to diversity in legal education and the legal profession. The Bay Area Minority Law Student Scholarship provides financial assistance to qualified students from minority groups underrepresented in Bay Area law schools. Each scholarship involves a substantial three-year commitment to worthy qualified students; the vast majority of scholarships awarded are $10,000 yearly. Minority students applying to Bay Area law schools and current minority students attending a Bay Area law school may apply.
