SF State Pre-Doctoral Scholar: Victor Ma

Victor Ma, Philosophy graduate student

Victor graduated from California State University East Bay with a Philosophy major and Mathematics minor, and served for six years in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
In 2012, Victor received his MA in Philosophy at SF State. His research interests include the norms governing rational belief and belief change, the role of intuitions in inquiry (generally, and in philosophy), and how language is affected by what this world could have been or what it must be, and vice versa. He has served a Teaching Assistant in his department at SF State in Introduction to Philosophy, Theory of Knowledge, Formal Logic, and Modern Philosophy. He is also an Instructor with the Philosophy Department, teaching Critical Thinking and Introduction to Philosophy.
In his free time Victor watches Grey's Anatomy at the edge of his seat.
