The Diversity Scholarship seeks to support first and third year law students from groups historically underrepresented in the legal profession who have committed to attending a California law school. The Scholarship helps pay the costs of obtaining a law school education, including tuition, fees, books, and related educational expenses to incoming first year law students with financial need who demonstrate a desire to make a positive impact as a community leader. Awards have historically been up to $7,500. Candidates apply for the Scholarship at the beginning of the summer prior to commencing their law school studies. At the time of applying for this scholarship, applicant must be admitted to and have committed to matriculating at a California law school. Applicant must intend to practice law in California.
