The ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to ensure that minority students applying to law school have the opportunity to attend for three years by giving $5,000 annually to each scholarship recipient attending an American Bar Association-accredited law school. Competitive applicants will have overcome adversity, proven themselves through academic success and public service, and demonstrated the tenacity to excel within the profession. Barring special circumstances, parents' financial information is required of every scholarship applicant, regardless of age, marital status, or self-emancipation status. Deadline is usually in early Spring.
